One odor review can cost more than a year of preventive treatment. This is the walkthrough we recommend for every turnover.
The five-minute check
Open the front door cold and stand still for ten seconds. Then check the closet, under the kitchen sink, the shower drain, the washer gasket and the HVAC filter.
Between-guest habits
Run the exhaust fan for the whole cleaning window, leave interior doors open, and never store linens in a closed unventilated closet.
When to escalate
If two consecutive cleanings do not fix it, stop re-cleaning and get it inspected. The material is holding it.
